I was quite busy today so didn't stay at ceramics with Jade, i had to go and order a carpet for Natalies room, which is getting fitted tomorrow. Then i had to wait in for Argos to deliver a set of drawers and a unit. Had to order online Natalies uniform for her Beauty Therapy course at college and handles for new doors that we are getting put on, so anyway this is what Jade did today, the theme was Christmas (even though we don't have to be reminded)
The little house is a light! ![]()
She did this wee snowman too, Trina

A pill a day keeps the doctor away
@ 2008-07-21 – 23:43:02
Received a letter from the hospital, Jade was there a few weeks ago as the doctor took blood and her vitamin D levels are low.
She is seeing a Pediatric Endocrinologist and he said "Her X Rays revealed she does not have Rickets but her Vitamin D levels were at the lower end of normal, it is important to continue giving her a Multi Vitamin Preperation."
I have been giving her Bassetts soft and chewy vitamins A C D & E, they are just like sweets so she takes them, tried her on the orange ones but she doesn't like them as much as the strawberry, so i'll keep giving her them and see if it corrects itself.
He was asking if she liked oily fish, she loves Tuna fish, don't know if thats an oily fish or not. She has to go back in September to see the doctor again. There was a little girl there when we were there and she must have only been about over a year old, she was a little asian girl and she was georgeous, her dad was sitting next to me holding her on his knee, he decided to put her on the ground and i noticed how bowed the wee girls legs were and after a while the wee girl started to cry and want up. I thought that is such a shame, i didn't know if the wee girl was in pain because she was standing or she just wanted her dad, but her legs were quite severely bowed.
It's weird when i was jades age no one ever worried about vitamin levels or anything like that, u had your dinner n went out to play every night n that was that, u didn't say "hope thats full of vitamins for me mum" she would just say eat it or go hungry n give you a backhander for your cheek!
In saying that i have found out from the doc i'm lacking in vit D too, he gave me tablets to take and when i finished them, he gave me another months prescription? Just hope i don't fall over something and my leg or arm breaks, (shit thats tempting fate ! )

Took some pictures of flowers since it was a nice day, this orange flower was growing itself in soil that had been sprayed with weed killer? It was quite close to the neighbours fence maybe its roots are coming from there.
This is my neighbours flower, lovely!
This is in my garden it's Sweet William i think, has flowered for about 3 years running.
This red flower is my neighbours, don't know what kind it is, Click pics to make big Trina

Have discovered this brilliant New product.............well Natalie did since she works in Superdrug and buys every new product that comes out.
It's Palmers Coco Butter with gradual tanning in it, but the best thing about it is when u put it on it smells like Chocolate Toffee, i came out the bath and i smothered myself in it, have to stop myself from licking it off, even Mo said i smell good enough to eat
, think i'll be buying a few tubs of this stuff, Trina

OPPS! My Sister 3
@ 2008-07-20 – 22:21:02
To celebrate her 18th birthday (she is now 37) my sister, some friends and family went to a club in town, we stood in the queue and the bouncer decided to ask her for proof of age, she had brought her Family Allowance book (she had her son a few months earlier) with her as she didn't have a pasport, in her haste and being so flustered about being asked, she hastily pulled out what she thought was her Family Allowance book but was in fact ............A Sanitary Towel, the poor guy was so embarrased he just hurried us in, we just laughed about it all night

I don't know what to do?
@ 2008-07-19 – 21:17:34
Had a phone call, last night about 1.30, i was still up and it was Natalies dad.
He was inconsoulable, couldn't get a word out him for ages. He has phoned me before and i have told him he is depressed, to go to the doctor n get some help.
He kept going on about how sorry he was about what he did to me years ago , how he let me down when we were married and stuff,
tell u a storyFell pregnant at 20, soon as his Mother found out, when u's getting married, cause they were devout catholcs.
Got a house in Cranhill, just him working.
Decided he didn'y like working, wanted to be with his pals to smoke Hash,as in most times overnight,.............. then i was left with the baby all the time in a horrible area.
Struggling for money, having to ask his parents
Didn't have a cooker or fridge for 6 months cause we couldn't afford one so had to buy microwave meals all the time (his parents bought it as a housewarming present)
My sister was working with the social work and managed to get us a cooker n fridge someone was giving away
He decided to chuck it work that is, so was barred from the brew for 6 months and did not get any dole money
I decided to go back to work when Natalie was 6 months
Had to get up at 6 in the morning to walk to his parents house so they could watch Natalie while i was at work
I only lasted 6 months and then found out he hadn't claimed for Housing Bennefit so we were up to our eyeballs in rent arrears
Was that bad i was having cold toast for lunch in work, my supervisor even lent me a tenner cause she could see how bad things were
By this time i had had enough and decided to leave him
I ended up leaving my job and made myself homeless
Natalie was just over 1
I was in and out of 3 different homeless flats before i was offered a house of my own
Natalie was 4Everytime i went up to his parents house to let them see Natalie, i was always sneered at or ignored and given dirty looks cause they blamed me for us splitting up. Chris lost the flat.
So now were 15 more years down the line and i'm not just saying this to make me look good but he has never had another serious relationship and lives with his brother in the parents house as both parents are now dead.
He has never had any real relationship with Natalie as he didn't see her for years then when he did it would be months at a time he would not have any contact with her, this is still the case not even a phone call.
I have never received any money from him towards her upbringing apart from a couple of cheques from the CSA at £40 each, everytime they caught up with him when he was working he would chuck his job so he would not have to pay it.Sometimes when he's drunk he phones me to tell me he still loves me and how sorry he is, why can't he just move on, he is depressed because he is lonley but there is nothing i can do about that. I am begining to worry, i would never forgive him if he did something stupid because i know Natalie loves her dad and would be devastated. Trina

Munchin at the Lunchin!
@ 2008-07-19 – 02:05:59
Went for lunch today in Mings ,Princes square , Glasgow, one of the upmarket places in Glasgow go about once a month with my sister her pals etc. Here is some pics of them enjoying their meal this is Suzanne, my sister Marie, wee Kurtis, Teri and jade.

This is my neice Demi on the left, Natalie and Justine.
Kurtis was having noodles and decided to sneeze resulting in everybdy getting sprayed with noodles, it was so funny, then he decided he wanted to come with me when i was going for a fag and i had to walk through the entire Food Court with this wee dude in tow cause it's 3 floors up and i need to go to the back door to go n have a fag, he was so slow cause he decided to wave to everybody that he past , sitting eating, (glad i'm past this stage n my kids are all grown up) Outside there was a big noise like a generator or something and Kurtis shit himself n was clinging on to my leg . Then he saw some pidgeons and decided to chase them so he was fine, all in all it was a good time . trina x

SOME BLINGING SHOES!
@ 2008-07-19 – 01:20:20
Even though i have bought her a laptop,
YES! I bought Natalie a laptop so i copuld use the computer, but everytime i go to use it her pal is on it "WHAT!" only kiddin i don't mind her on it , cause i love her to pieces, Anyway Natalie bought her first pair of Designer Shoes today and i was like OMG she is not a wee girl anymore she is like a proper woman and they were absoloutley to die for.
We went for lunch (later post) in Princess Square, in Mings our usual haunt and after it looked about and went into a designer shop called Browns. That was the shop i bought my sister a blouse out of for her 40TH birthday and it cost me £90. We were looking about and Natalie came up and showed me a pair of shoes, cost price £320............reduced to.............£55, i thought that was brilliant but wouldn't splash that out on my self. "I'm buying them" she said, aw well if u like them then buy them.
I told her to try them on
I kept going on about them, and i think Mo is going to buy me a pair tomorrow, YEHHEAA!

Witchy poo
@ 2008-07-15 – 22:56:34
Another full day at ceramics with Jade my sister says i'm nuts to be spending all this money but Jade enjoys it so it's worth it. There was a wee girl there a year older than jade and she was sitting across the table from us, i swear she must be the clumsiest kid i have seen for a while. She had her piece on a turntable cause it was quite big and every time she turned it she would knock something down or spill a pot of paint and not tell anyone, even when they were having lunch she had half eaten a chicken burger and managed to sit it down on some paint. Jade was just looking at me and i was rolling my eyes, everytime she rinsed her brush in the tub of water, me n jade were splashed, the theme today was spooky Tuesday and Jade made a 3D witch light .
WITCH she will put in her room along with all the other accumulated crap! "Sighs!"

Feed the 5000!
@ 2008-07-15 – 22:07:17
Well i had the ominous task of cleaning out the chip pan tonight, i actually like the end result cause the inside is gleeming, till i put the oil back in it, i always make home made chips none of these namby pamby oven chips that taste like plastacine, even though i know they are better for you!
So i had the painter in today (no not that kind of painter
, a real one ) he is still doing my bedroom (very slowly cause it's someone Mo works with and he can only come after work if he turns up! ) Natalie still has a pal staying, think this wee lassie has moved in, maybe i should phone her mum up and ask for the Family Allowance Book
That was 6 i had to feed so i just bought 2 of they Takeaway pizza's and gave them chips with it, had to keep alternating the pizza's in the oven once i had strategically placed the pepperonies on them, yep nothing i hate more is when all the topping is bunched up to the one side of the pizza, even though i know there are no sides cause it's round so u can't catch me out on that one. It tells you to put it on the middle shelf but there is only room for one so thats why i had to rotate them to cook them evenly, they turned out ok in the end. Only two people to clear their plates was Justine ( Natalies pal) and Martin (the DECORATOR) I swear if we had a dog it would be the best fed dog for miles cause so much food goes to waste in this house it's unreal. Need to think what to make tomorrow, made stuffed peppers the other night and they liked them but you know what they say about too much of a good thing, Trina

I love a bargain!
@ 2008-07-13 – 19:11:40
Since we have been decorating, we decided to do our room black and white, one wall is black flowery wallpaper and the rest white, a few months ago i was in Textstyle World with my sister and i saw a beautiful black throw that had diamonties sewn on it, it was the Kylie Minouge range or something, but it was quite dear, i thought it was about £100.
I decided i really wanted it and lifted money from the bank and went back to the shop. I got there and it was gone, they only had it in white and cream, and i noticed it was £120, I asked the women if they had it in black and she said it didn't come in black, "Whaaaat", but i saw it a few months ago, sorry u couldn't have it has never been done in black, I must be lossing it i thought

I text my sister n she confirmed that we saw it in black, not unless it was some other range, but it looked exactly the same, anyway i had a look about n didn't see anything that i liked so i went a few shops along to "Au Natural" and found a black throw that had buttons on it and i thought, i could take the buttons off n sew diamonties on it instead.
I noticed that a few of the buttons were missing and was ready to ask for a discount when she said, "Those were £9.99 but they are reduced to £7.49, brilliant i thought i'll take it. So i came home and took all the remaining buttons off and sewed diamonties on it that i already had in the house which cost me £3 for a bag of 50 and it was just as well cause there was 43 buttons on it, so how jammie was that i was ready to fork out £120 and i got one or nearly the same for £10.49

What's the point
@ 2008-07-13 – 00:13:25
I don't know but when i read some of these blogs i think to myself , these people must be so well educated to write this stuff and put in words i have never even heard of it seems to me it must just come naturally, i feel so inadiquite (probably spelt it wrong!) Maybe i should just chuck it, i am not as interesting as them and why would people bother, don't think my life is that interesting anyway.

Going to the dancing!
@ 2008-07-05 – 21:01:11
Natalie has just left to go to her friends house to get ready to go to the OVERS dancing, for those of u who don't know what that is it's the dancing for over 18 year olds. I am sitting here and my arse is knitting buttons worrying that she will be ok, i know she is a sensible girl even though she is 17 in November. It still doesn't stop u worrying. Even i would be wary going into the town on saturday night, there can be a lot of idiots looking for trouble and even the wrong look or if they don't like your face is enough for them to just walk up and attack u. This was my advice to her before she left.
1. Watch your drink incase sombody spikes it!
2. Watch your bag,purse,money phone!
3. If anybody is cheeky to u just walk away!
4. Don't go near anyone that is fighting, causing trouble etc.
5. If u feel frightened or scared just phone and we will come and get you!
She has borrowed someone she knows id, and this girl looks nothing like Natalie so they will be lucky if they get in anyway, i told her to phone me when she gets there and let me know if she got in, i am just going to imagine a big protection bubble around them cause thats what my psychic freind told me to do if ever i wanted to protecd anyone, still i can see it's going to be a long night for me, i just hope and pray she will be okay.
