Received a letter from the hospital, Jade was there a few weeks ago as the doctor took blood and her vitamin D levels are low.
She is seeing a Pediatric Endocrinologist and he said "Her X Rays revealed she does not have Rickets but her Vitamin D levels were at the lower end of normal, it is important to continue giving her a Multi Vitamin Preperation."
I have been giving her Bassetts soft and chewy vitamins A C D & E, they are just like sweets so she takes them, tried her on the orange ones but she doesn't like them as much as the strawberry, so i'll keep giving her them and see if it corrects itself.
He was asking if she liked oily fish, she loves Tuna fish, don't know if thats an oily fish or not. She has to go back in September to see the doctor again.
There was a little girl there when we were there and she must have only been about over a year old, she was a little asian girl and she was georgeous, her dad was sitting next to me holding her on his knee, he decided to put her on the ground and i noticed how bowed the wee girls legs were and after a while the wee girl started to cry and want up. I thought that is such a shame, i didn't know if the wee girl was in pain because she was standing or she just wanted her dad, but her legs were quite severely bowed.
It's weird when i was jades age no one ever worried about vitamin levels or anything like that, u had your dinner n went out to play every night n that was that, u didn't say "hope thats full of vitamins for me mum" she would just say eat it or go hungry n give you a backhander for your cheek!
In saying that i have found out from the doc i'm lacking in vit D too, he gave me tablets to take and when i finished them, he gave me another months prescription? Just hope i don't fall over something and my leg or arm breaks, (shit thats tempting fate ! )
Trina
