The phone that went missing a couple of months ago was a Black LG Chocolate phone,
Well Natalie just came in to the kitchen and told me that wee lassie had a Black LG Phone sitting on the couch beside her,
That is just too much of a coinsidence for me,
Jade asked her where she got it and she said her pal had it for ages and gave her it,
I had said the wee lassie could stay before the money went missing so i was going to let her stay tonight then not let her back in the house after that,
But when i heard about the phone i decided to send the wee lassie home!

I don't blame you , Trina .
You could inform the police , and / or the girl's parents/grandparents who she lives with , or just leave it but never let her in the house again .
Very unfortunate , awkward and difficult I know , you have my sympathies ,

I just thought - Have you done the obvious thing of dialling the number of the phone , to see if she answers ?
Unless she changed the sim card , if course !

Oh, that's too much of a coincidence alright. I think you're right to have made her leave and never come back again.

She'll know exactly why she shouldn't come back in yer house, and quite right too. If it was me, I'd only let her back if she admitted it (without being pushed) and apologised. Yer doing the right thing, Trin xxx

I think the girl needs help. Stealing things is to my mind a way of possibly getting attention. Perhaps a word with a social worker would be more beneficial. There could be deeper rooted problems which she hides by stealing things.
This is of course just a theory.-

I think the wee girl does have problems she has a social worker that takes her places etc to give her gran restbite, don't know if it is worth telling the gran about but i am more beelling cause she was always fed and what Jade got she did yet she feels the need to steal from us

I still think that the girl needs help. Her social worker will be best placed to do that rather than her gran. I am guessing there has been some sort of family trauma with her as she lives with her gran. Yes you treat her right in your home and you feel rightly abused. It really does look like a cry from deep within the child. I guess your Jade and she are good chums, she sees stability in Jades home which she may not get elsewhere. She possibly does'nt even equate stealing from you as wrong as you give so much to her.
Its a tough one alright, call in the experts.-

Yes she was abused by the mother when she was younger, she has 2 other siblings one older sister and a younger brother, they used to all stay with the gran but it got too much and they are now in a residential home, she see's them at the weekends

It's unfortunate but yes, you did the right thing. I would have been hard pressed not to confront her and ask her to explain things as I listed them off one by one. She probably would have caved.

Her mum didn't notice the phone--or ask where it came from??? Love is blind, I guess..or maybe mum's one of the zoo-keeper class of "new" parents?

I know it's difficult, but you did the right thing.
Hope Jade understands.
